Intel's Haswell processor, chipset with News features

Intel will launch the fourth generation Intel Core i architecture Haswell with them in 2013. Besides going to use a new type of processor socket, LGA1150, this processor will also be equipped with the latest chipset motherboard. Some rumors in cyberspace is likely to mention the Intel Z87 has a name.

A new feature found is the availability of the chipset SATA 6Gbpas many ports as 6 units. In previous chipset, Intel Z77, SATA 6Gbps port number by only 2 SATA 3Gbps parts and as many as four pieces.

Other than that, not unlike the Z77 chipset, Intel Z87 also is not supported over the PCI slot. Even so, if you see some Z77 motherboards that have circulated over the years, seems to support PCI slots still available using additional chip.


Certainly motherboard with Intel Z87 chipset also has a third generation PCI Express. Hopefully next year brings better graphics card PCIe 3.0 capabilities already available.
